Apparently, a lot of fans couldn’t help but cringe during a recent episode of The Young and the Restless when Billy was making pizza – in his living room, no less – with Sally Spectra by his side.
But here’s the thing: the actor was sporting a flour-and-sweat covered naked torso under an apron while also acting like there was nothing to see there. For a lot of viewers, it was just pure cringe.
That’s because many believe that Jason Thompson is one of the most talented men in the daytime television industry.
Sure, he can do some scenes without a shirt on, but some people think that the slapstick humor was unnecessary.
It goes without saying that many Y&R fans on the internet certainly did have a lot to say about the matter.
Some even commented with, “This was so cringe! Not to mention they were doing all this in their living room, lol!! Covering him in flour was a tad more tolerable than him whining about Chancellor and his mother issues.”
Was The Slapstick Scene Necessary?
Another critic of the show wrote, “I can’t understand why they had him making pizza in the living room.
It looked awful. If they couldn’t afford a kitchen set, then they should not have written the scene. Love Jason Thompson, but they had my man down bad.”
And then there was this comment as well: “This scene looks ridiculous. What are they trying to don- make Billyboy Abbot look like sexy with sweat and flour all over him? While baking?”
