The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers document that Electra Forrester (Laneya Grace) still loves Will Spencer (Crew Morrow).
But she doesn’t want to be with him, and she doesn’t want him to care about her now-former best friend, Melissa Dylan (Sydney Bullock). Does that sound like a high school triangle?
To her credit, Dylan hasn’t been intimidated by Electra’s demands. As for Will, he was dumped, had another woman whom he’s attracted to make a repeated play for him, and accepted Dylan into his romantic life.
Deal with it, Electra.
Who Is Electra Forrester To Demand Anything?
Electra met Will first. Does that give her the right to dictate what happens in his life for the remainder of it?
Electra formed what was a months-long friendship with Dylan after meeting her at what was a modified beach house setting.
The Hayes Finnegan (Bryan David Garlick) character was used as a form of plot device to establish the setting where he took summer art classes and Miss Dylan taught Garlick’s character and a handful of children his age.
That scenario served as Luna Nozawa’s (Lisa Yamada) opportunity because she targeted her father’s (John Finn Finnegan, as played by Tanner Novlan) son and her brother.
Luna also tied up Dylan and held her hostage until Finn’s birth mother, Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown), intervened with her granddaughter and lost another toe.
All of the above elevated Dylan from a side character to a more regular character. In time, she and Electra became deeper friends, and then Grace’s character let Will go.
Will Spencer Seeks Stability And Peace Of Mind
Will’s love for Electra was real. There’s no questioning her initial feelings for him either. But the first part of their first deep relationship proved to be just a chapter.
As time passed, Electra realized that the drama in Will’s life was reflective of his immaturity. She recognized that a variety of people who warned her that he wasn’t Mr. Right were right.
However, Morrow’s character is a guy in his early twenties who, like Electra, had no other experience in a committed relationship. She was the first perceived true love of his life, with perception being the key word.
Melissa Dylan Wants A Good Life Too
Dylan has proven, at this point in the plot, to be who she said she was. Bullock’s character loves Will and wants to be with him long-term.
Electra sees Dylan as the pre-Halloween witch because Will has turned his heart to her.
But that only happened after Electra told him they were through, after previously breaking with him multiple times, with full credit given to her for sticking with him through Luna’s engineered pregnancy that ended in her miscarriage.
Katie Logan Spencer (Heather Tom), not Electra, was the biggest obstacle to Dylan being with Will.
However, Dylan accomplished her task of convincing Zende Forrester Dominguez (Delon de Metz) to meet at Logan.
Dylan’s incremental steps and the genuine response she’s elicited from Will represent real progress. Whether Katie abandons her support for Electra and that character’s revenge intentions will soon be seen.
