race dating document that Jill Abbott’s (last played by Lauren Koslow, with Jess Walton portraying the character for many decades before her) ability to have surgery was in question. But Snapper Foster (David Hasselhoff) made the right call; she went under the knife and lived.

Newly married and a new father, Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) and the man who isn’t his real brother, Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn), are overjoyed by the positive outcome. Jill is out of the soapy woods for now. Whether she remains there is yet to be seen.

Despite the major life events that affected Billy and Cane’s desire to be with Lily Winters (Christel Khalil), due to her cancer scare, both men flew to see Jill. Their decisions were wise and led to a currently positive outcome in London, England.

Key Takeaways

  • Jill Abbott survives her risky surgery in London
  • Billy and Cane are relieved by the positive outcome
  • Victoria and Kyle nearly expose their secret romance
  • Billy unexpectedly interrupts Victoria’s London getaway
  • Lily and Cane move closer to another possible marriage

Jill Abbott Is Strong and Must Survive

Various characters have been speaking about Jill retrospectively, which made it feel like she might be killed off. That could still happen based on the approach The Young and the Restless’ new head writers may take.

In fact, https://celebbabylaundry.com/tallahassee-dating-service/ before the news of her successful surgery.

Interestingly, Jill wasn’t shown in the lead-up to her surviving the surgery because she was the spotlight character in this part of the plot. Walton’s absence from the cast and apparently a choice not to use Koslow as a continued temporary stand-in played into that outcome.

Victor told Billy that his mother was strong before Thompson’s character jetted to London. Various other characters lamented Jill’s predicament and wondered if one of GC’s longest-tenured characters, dating to the show’s debut year in 1973, would be killed off.

Here’s hoping that the surgery success leads to Walton’s return to the cast in the very near future.

Billy Abbott Still Tied To Victoria Newman

Victoria wanted her business trip to be about pleasure. So, she and Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) planned their getaway and realized it in England.

As previously reported, Victoria and Kyle’s secret London romance was already at risk of being exposed when familiar faces began arriving in England.

She never expected to see Billy there, let alone have him come to her room twice. While she waited out his first attempt, the second proved unavoidable.

That set up a funny sequence where Kyle had to make himself scarce outside the hotel, many stories up. That scene reminded movie fans of screwball comedies from days gone by and added humor that contrasted with the serious Jill storyline.

Meanwhile, Michael Baldwin could also discover Victoria and Kyle’s forbidden London romance, creating even more trouble for the secretive couple.

Meanwhile, Back In Genoa City, Wisconsin

Lily loves Cane, and her brother Devon Winters’ (Bryton James) misgivings aren’t going to change her feelings. However, it was good to see Devon begin to soften when he said that he was willing to give Cane a chance because of the twins.

Devon isn’t wrong to remain leery of Cane, due to the many elaborate stunts he’s pulled since leaving GC in 2019. As viewers know, Daniel Goddard (Cane) was last seen in that role, and Flynn became the recast.

This version of Cane is one that Lily feels resembles the man she fell in love with and had children with. He’s also someone who she twice married and seems destined to marry for a third time unless something derails their accelerating reconciliation.

Editors Take

I’m relieved Jill survived her surgery because I really don’t think The Young and the Restless needs to lose another longtime character. I’d love to see Jess Walton return and give Billy and Cane a piece of her mind! As for Victoria and Kyle, their little London adventure is getting ridiculous. They’re sneaking around like teenagers, and Billy nearly catching them was hilarious. But I think the real fireworks will start when their families discover what’s going on. And I wouldn’t count on Lily and Cane getting their happy ending just yet, either!
