General Hospital Speculation: Could This Forbidden Romance Really Happen, Or Is It Just Too Crazy?

General Hospital speculation suggests that Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) and Willow Tate (Katelyn MacMullen) could make one of the most unexpected couples in Port Charles.

And if the writers ever decide to go in that direction, there’s no denying that all hell could break loose. Keep reading below for all the details you need to know.

Key Takeaways

  • Jason and Willow could make a controversial new couple
  • Michael might view their romance as the ultimate betrayal
  • Carly could become Willow’s biggest obstacle
  • Drew might use the relationship against his brother
  • Jason could face an impossible choice between love and loyalty

General Hospital Speculation: Jason And Willow’s Forbidden Romance

Now, here’s a pairing that I certainly didn’t see coming!

Jason Morgan and Willow Tate might seem like two people who have absolutely no business getting romantically involved, but isn’t that exactly the kind of relationship that soap opera writers love?

After all, Willow’s love life has been nothing short of a disaster, while Jason hasn’t exactly had much luck in the romance department lately, either.

Jason and Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) appeared to have another chance at love, but things didn’t work out. And now Britt seems more interested in spending time with mysterious newcomer Jude Jacks (Wil Traval).

In fact, Britt’s increasingly complicated personal life has already raised questions about where her story might go next.

That leaves Jason single, and perhaps ready for something completely different.

But Willow?

Really?

Of all the women in Port Charles, she’s probably the last person anyone would expect Jason to fall for.

Then again, Willow has a history of getting involved with complicated men, and Jason certainly fits that description.

Of course, there’s no confirmation that the writers are planning this romance. For now, it’s simply an interesting possibility that could turn several relationships upside down.

Michael Corinthos Could See This As The Ultimate Betrayal

Let’s start with Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson), because I have a feeling he wouldn’t take this news very well.

Michael and Willow’s marriage is over, and their custody battle has already created enough drama to last a lifetime.

But imagine Michael discovering that his former wife has developed feelings for Jason!

Jason isn’t just another man in Port Charles. He’s someone Michael has trusted and looked up to for most of his life.

And that’s what would make this situation so complicated.

Michael might be able to accept Willow eventually moving on with someone else, but seeing her with Jason would be an entirely different story.

Would Michael feel betrayed by the man who has always been there for him?

Or would he realize that he no longer has any say in Willow’s romantic decisions?

Considering how determined Michael has been to keep Willow away from Wiley and Amelia, I wouldn’t expect him to handle this situation calmly.

And if Willow believed Jason could help her repair her relationship with her children, that would make things even more interesting.

However, I can’t imagine Jason agreeing to become involved in Willow’s custody battle just because he’s attracted to her.

That would put him in a terrible position with Michael, and Jason has always taken family loyalty seriously.

Carly Spencer Might Be Willow’s Biggest Problem

Now, this is where things could really get ugly!

Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) has always been extremely protective of Jason, and I can’t imagine her welcoming Willow into his life with open arms.

Let’s face it, Carly has never been shy about sharing her opinions when it comes to Jason’s relationships.

And Willow certainly wouldn’t be her first choice for him.

Not only is Willow Michael’s ex-wife, but her involvement with Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) has already caused plenty of problems for the Corinthos family.

Could Carly really sit back and watch Jason become romantically involved with a woman who has caused her son so much heartache?

I seriously doubt it!

But here’s the interesting part.

Jason isn’t someone who appreciates being told what to do.

He might listen to Carly’s concerns, but that doesn’t mean he’d follow her advice.

And if Carly pushed too hard, she could end up creating problems in her own relationship with Jason.

Wouldn’t that be something?

After years of standing by each other through almost everything, could Willow become the woman who finally drives a wedge between Jason and Carly?

It’s certainly possible, although I think Jason would have to develop some very strong feelings for Willow before he’d risk that friendship.

Drew Cain Could Have Another Reason To Hate His Brother

And then there’s Drew.

Oh, Drew!

Can you imagine his reaction if Willow suddenly became interested in his twin brother?

Drew already has a complicated relationship with Jason, and the last thing he needs is another reason to resent him.

But if Willow were to move on with Jason, Drew might take it as a personal insult.

After all, Drew has spent plenty of time trying to control the people around him, and Willow has been one of the biggest parts of his increasingly messy life.

Now imagine her deciding that Jason is the better brother!

I almost want to see Drew’s face.

LOL!

Of course, there’s also the possibility that Drew would use the situation to his advantage.

He could try to convince Michael that Jason has betrayed him, creating even more tension within the family.

And given the recent tension between Jason and Willow over Drew’s schemes, it’s not difficult to imagine the writers finding new ways to complicate their relationship.

But would Jason really risk his relationship with Michael and the rest of the family for Willow?

That’s the question that makes this speculation so interesting.

Could Jason And Willow Actually Fall In Love?

Now, before everyone starts throwing things at their television screens, there’s something worth considering.

Jason and Willow haven’t been established as a romantic couple, and there’s no confirmed storyline suggesting they’re about to become one.

But the possibility does raise an interesting question about where the writers could take both characters next.

Willow desperately needs to get her life back on track, and Jason could certainly offer the kind of stability and protection she hasn’t had lately.

But Jason also has his own problems, and getting involved with Willow could create more headaches than happiness.

Besides, I think Willow needs to figure out who she is before jumping into another relationship.

And with Willow’s increasingly complicated family relationships, another romance might be the last thing she needs.

And Jason?

Well, maybe it’s time he found someone who doesn’t come with an entire family’s worth of complications!

Then again, this is Port Charles.

Where would the fun be in that?

Editor’s Take

I’m going to admit something. I don’t love the idea of Jason and Willow together, but I can certainly see why it would create some interesting drama!

Michael would probably lose his mind, Carly would have plenty to say, and Drew would be absolutely furious.

But my biggest problem is Willow herself. I think she needs to get her life together before she even thinks about another man.

And Jason deserves someone who isn’t going to drag him into another family disaster.

Still, I wouldn’t put anything past the writers. If they want to shake up Port Charles, this would certainly do it!

What do you think? Would Jason and Willow make an interesting couple, or would their romance be the biggest mistake either of them could make? Let us know in the comments section below.
