Actress Natasha Wilson, who appeared in Lifetime movies like The Best Version of Love and Single and Ready to Jingle, filed a lawsuit after she was allegedly attacked by a dog while walking her own pup. Read on for more details.
Where Did It Happen?
Gregory Marcel faces the lawsuit following an incident at the West Hollywood Dog Park in late November 2024. The documentation, per The New York Post, shows that the encounter with the dog left her with facial injuries.
According to the lawsuit, Wilson was out with her little Frenchie when Marcel’s dog, Scruffy, lunged at her, knocked her down, and bit her face just above the right eyebrow.

The outlet added, “Scruffy approached the actress’ pooch ‘and stood over it in an aggressive and dominant posture,’ the suit claims. Wilson picked up her French bulldog, but Scruffy then jumped on the actress and she lost hold of her hound, according to the filing.”
Permanent Injuries
The Bold News reported that her injuries were permanent in regard to facial scarring. The outlet cited papers that claimed, “Wilson suffered a laceration above her right eyebrow requiring sutures and has been left with a permanent, visible, and painful scar, an altered eyebrow, hair pattern, and impaired movement of the right brow.”
After the alleged attack, the Lifetime actress was treated at the Cedars-Sinai ER and received antibiotics and some stitches as part of her treatment.
The Lawsuit
Because her appearance and facial expressions are vital to her acting career, she alleges the injury led to lost wages and compromised her future earning potential. The suit hopes for compensation to cover her medical expenses, which include planned scar revision surgery, as well as financial consideration for the income that she lost.
It isn’t clear exactly how much Natasha Wilson is claiming because she filed for unliquidated economic damages rather than a fixed sum. It’s not uncommon in California for damages in personal injury cases like hers to be determined by the court or a jury if there is one.
Readers React
When The New York Post shared the article on Instagram, some folks went to the comments to talk about it, and one of the most common concerns was what happened to the Frenchie. Meanwhile, others questioned the handling of the situation by the actress.
One reader wrote, “The fact she’s putting this out there for the media…”
But others have also experienced situations in dog parks that put them off using them. Another follower said, “Do not take your dogs to dog parks people, so many irresponsible dog owners.”
Here are a few other responses about the Lifetime actress’ experience:
- “His name is scruffy???”
- “They won’t say what kind of dog it is.”
- “Interesting that they described her dog and its breed in detail but left “scruffy’s” breed out of the article entirely….”
