Joe Alwyn to Replace Taron Egerton in 'The Stars at Noon' With Margaret Qualley

Joe Alwyn is taking on a new role!

The 30-year-old Conversations With Friends star has joined the cast of the upcoming A24 movie The Stars at Noon, Deadline reported.

The role was previously being played by Taron Egerton, who dropped out of the project due to “personal reasons.”

Before that, Robert Pattinson was set to play the male lead, but his Batman shooting schedule was pushed due to the pandemic.

Joe will be starring alongside Margaret Qualley in the film.

The Claire Denis-directed movie is based on the novel by Denis Johnson.

Here’s a plot summary: “The story is set in 1984 during the Nicaraguan Revolution and follows a mysterious English businessman and headstrong American journalist who strike up a passionate romance. They soon become embroiled in a dangerous labyrinth of lies and conspiracies and are forced to try and escape the country, with only each other to trust and rely on.”
