Christina Aguilera to Receive Music Icon Award at People's Choice Awards 2021, Will Perform Medley of Her Hits

Huge news for Christina Aguilera and her fans: she’s going to be receiving the Music Icon Award at the 2021 People’s Choice Awards next week!

In addition, the 40-year-old entertainer will perform a medley of her biggest songs, all culminating in music from her highly anticipated new Spanish-language album.

“There is a reason Christina Aguilera is referred to as ‘the voice of our generation.’ She not only has an extraordinary voice, but as a creator, produces music that evokes true emotion and resonates across so many different demographics,” Jen Neal, Executive Vice President, Entertainment Live Events, Specials & E! News, NBCUniversal Entertainment Television and Streaming, said in a statement. “Christina is an idol and we cannot wait to celebrate her successes and present her with the inaugural ‘Music Icon’ award.”

The show is set to air simultaneously on both NBC and E! on Tuesday, December 7 at 9 p.m. ET/PT from the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica. You can see the full list of nominees right here.
