Legendary music exec Clarence Avant‘s wife Jacqueline “Jackie” Avant has been shot and killed at home during a home invasion.
The tragedy occurred in the early hours of Wednesday (December 1) at their home in Beverly Hills, California. Emergency services were called at 2:30 am and by the time they arrived, Jackie was already rushed to the hospital where she was pronounced dead. She was 81 years old.

TMZ reports that Clarence was also home at the time, but not injured. A security guard was on the premises and was also shot, but did not return fire. His condition is unclear.
Their daughter, Nicole Avant is married to Netflix co-CEO and chief content officer Ted Sarandos. Netflix confirmed to THR that Clarence was not injured.
