Diane Sawyer had a very unexpected experience while filming the Love Actually 20th anniversary reunion special.
The 76-year-old broadcaster was interviewing Thomas Brodie-Sangster for the special, who played kid drummer Sam in the 2003 film, and is now 32 years old.
The two came to the bench on the Thames River where he filmed scenes with his on-screen stepfather, Liam Neeson, when the incident occurred, via ET Canada.

A producer is heard cutting in and telling them: “We have to stop. The police say we don’t have the proper permit, and they’re going to arrest us.”
The pair laughed it off, as Diane said: “Oh, they are? Now we run!”
They quickly got up from the bench and went away as the cameras continued rolling.
They managed to avoid arrest, with Thomas posing with some fans before heading home.
“Liam was amazing. He treated me like his son. He was absolutely lovely to me. He created this environment where I was very comfortable,” he said prior to the interruption.
