ADOR Accused Of Stalling As Min Hee-jin Appeals For Fair Treatment of NewJeans Members

The five members of NewJeans presented a united front throughout their battle to extricate themselves from what they called mismanagement by ADOR. However, in the final few rounds, after the court ruled in ADOR’s favor, Hyein and Haerin rushed back to make peace with the label.

This obviously left the other three members in a tight spot, and they shortly after released separate statements through their legal representatives to announce their return to ADOR.

Mee Hee-jin Says NewJeans’ Image Was Structured For Five People

At present, “after long discussions among themselves and with ADOR,” the group’s youngest members Hyein and Haerin have officially returned to the agency.

Even though the other three have expressed their interest in returning, ADOR is yet to release a statement acknowledging their return.

As a result of this, ADOR’s former CEO Mee Hee-jin, who previously revealed she respected the quintet’s decision to return, decided to pen a statement to plead on the remaining girls’ behalf.

ADOR

“This has always been about me; the children should not be dragged into this,” Min wrote in a statement read by attorney Roh Young-hee of Gangnam LLC during a YouTube livestream on Saturday. “Children should be protected, not used.”

“NewJeans is fulfilled when they are a full group of five,” the statement continued. “The group was made with five people in mind — their looks, sound, color, style and even movement were structured for five people. That’s why people loved them, and that’s how they became one.”

“Now that they’ve come back, they should be cherished,” she continued. “Unnecessary conflict and interpretations are not helpful.”

NewJeans previously told the court that telling them to return to ADOR is like asking someone to return to a bully. Despite these claims, the court still went on and ruled on ADOR’s behalf, shattering the girls’ months-long battle with the agency.

But now, the pressing concern remains that ADOR has continued to close its doors to Minji, Danielle and Hanni.

This does not mean that ADOR has completely rejected Minji, Danielle and Hanni’s proposal to return, as they revealed they’re working on establishing ground rules with the remaining three first
