The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers document that Daphne Rose (Murielle Hilaire) was honest with Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor) then and now. While she did fall hard for him earlier this year, this time around, he needs to convince her that he is the right man.
Carter’s dalliance with Hope Logan (Annika Noelle) was legitimate. He fell in love with his Forrester Creations colleague after realizing his feelings more than a year ago. However, Hope’s realization about still loving Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) and wanting to recommit to him ended Carter’s most recent family pursuits.
Daphne was taken with Carter after initially agreeing to help her friend, Steffy Forrester Finnegan (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood), out. But Steffy’s plan to use Daphne to drive a wedge between Hope and Carter is long over.
Daphne Rose’s Game With Carter Walton Shifts
Steffy saw what Hope was doing and didn’t like it. She felt that Hope was casting a spell over Carter like she had Liam and Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson).
However, Steffy’s strategy of using Daphne came at a point in the plot when Carter deceived the Forresters and appointed himself the head of their family business. That contrived scenario has long since passed.
Daphne has told Carter that she cares about him, but is not chasing him now. He’s already been pushed back, and Daphne hasn’t done more than kiss him. Her approach resulted because Carter’s effort to be with Hope meant that Hilaire’s character was clearly second-best, and she will accept nothing less than being first in his heart.
Hope Logan Helped Push Maturity Issue
Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) was concerned about his best friend and the man he considers to be like a brother. He didn’t want Carter rushing to marry Hope, and that advice proved to be good.
The women Carter has pursued through the years have never led to marriage. Instead, he almost always endured some form of heartbreak. That happened because Saint-Victor’s character doesn’t have as much experience as Ridge or others when it comes to matters of the heart, and that created unrealistic expectations.
Carter’s pursuit of Hope was realistic. She took him seriously, and if it wasn’t for Liam’s life-altering experiences (the faked cancer scam and being shot by Luna Nozawa, Lisa Yamada), she likely would be married to Carter now.
All of the above helped Carter to gain needed experience and see that Daphne is a potentially perfect match for him.
Zende Forrester Dominguez Remains Single
Zende Forrester Dominguez (Delon de Metz) once cheated with his cousin’s (R.J. Forrester, Joshua Hoffman) girlfriend, Luna. That proved to be a disastrous choice for multiple reasons.
Paris Buckingham (Diamond White) is someone whom Zende was attached to. She wanted to marry Carter, but he was never truly in love with her, choosing Quinn Fuller (Rena Sofer) instead in what turned out to be a short-term relationship.
To see Zende at Daphne’s latest open mic night was intriguing. After her set, Zende said he needed to hug her. Both plot points could prove to be minor, or they might be precursors to Daphne entertaining Zende’s advances in what would become a triangle with Carter.
