Lauren Wright, the eldest child of General Hospital star Laura Wright (Carly Spencer), celebrated a birthday recently and her mom sent her a very sweet message on social media. Read on to see the accompanying photos.
The Birthday Post
On Sunday, Laura shared a lovely Instagram shout-out to Lauren on her 27th birthday. It’s not clear where Lauren Wright is living these days. However, for the last few years, posts by her mom revealed that she was living in Prague where she worked far away from the glitz and glam of Hollywood.
Her mom wrote in her caption:
Happy Happy Birthday @lalalauuureeeen I just love being your mom – lucky me !!!! Xoxoxox. I hope you get to lay in bed all day and read ha !!

One of the first responses in the comment section came from Rena Sofer (Lois Cerullo) on General Hospital. She penned, “Happy Birthday Lauren!!” Her response was followed by a similar greeting by Michelle Lundstrom, the wife of Steve Burton (Jason Morgan).
Meanwhile, Finola Hughes (Anna Devane) on the ABC soap also responded, wishing Lauren a “Fabulous birthday.”
Actually, it was Finola who came to the rescue a few years ago when Lauren was in London. Together, they discovered that she suffered from Type 1 diabetes. At the time, Laura Wright was stressed because she was so far away from her daughter.

GH fans adore Laura Wright because of her longevity on the show. Plus she seems to be a very nice and caring sort of person. So, they wish her and her family well. Here are a few fan responses:

Choosing Her Own Path
Lauren, born on November 16, 1998, graduated from California Polytechnic State University in 2021. She obtained a degree in Journalism and also got a minor in ethnic studies.
Of course, she could, perhaps, have followed her famous mom into acting. But, she decided to make her own career path. And, GH fans appreciate that. She worked hard at college and went on to build a career far from the world of entertainment.
Still, it’s useful having a famous mother, because Laura was able to help bring awareness about diabetes to her many fans.
