The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers document that Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan) isn’t thinking straight. Plus, his therapy pursuit is a ruse.
It would have been good for Deacon to pursue individual and couples therapy. But both efforts should have been made with someone other than Taylor Hayes (Rebecca Budig).
Sheila Carter Sharpe (Kimberlin Brown) is sharp. But her instinct is off base in this instance. Taylor is not someone she should be thanking. Instead, the good doctor is rebounding from Ridge Forrester’s (Thorsten Kaye) rejection, and Deacon sees her as a better alternative to his wife.
Ridge Forrester Provoked What’s Happening
Taylor knew that Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) was an imminent threat. So, earlier this year, Taylor surprised Ridge by asking him to marry her. He responded with a yes, but shouldn’t have.
Ridge’s one true love isn’t Taylor, whom he does care for. Brooke has, is, and will always be the woman he loves more than any other. Why else would he have married her for a ninth time?
What happened in Italy was pure soap. However, Ridge’s rescue of Brooke was also necessary to create a scenario where they could believably reconcile. It also created an emotional victim, Taylor, whose heart wasn’t broken but damaged.
Deacon Sharpe Believes He Was A Fool
Deacon believes that two plot points are true. He loves Sheila but now believes he was a fool to believe she changed.
He, more than anyone on this show in many years, believed in the power of redemption. He did so because of the time he spent in jail for attempted murder.
Upon his release, he was somehow able to purchase Il Giardino, which is where Sheila saddled up to him one day at the bar. That fateful scene is recalled by all B&B loyalists because of the humor both characters displayed and due to the obvious chemistry that Kanan and Brown combined to project.
The inspired choice to pair these characters created one of the more endearing couples in recent show history. Here’s hoping that this married couple isn’t living in its last chapter.
Sheila Carter Sharpe Threatened To Kill Taylor Hayes
Sheila has since told Li Nozawa (Naomi Matsuda) that she didn’t mean that Taylor would actually be killed. Li’s initial, stunned reaction shot left an open-ended question. Were her comments an overreaction, or was the old Sheila about to reemerge?
Li recently questioned that threat. Sheila was apologetic and said she didn’t mean it, with viewers knowing that Brown’s character doesn’t have the facts.
Taylor is drawn to Deacon because he’s paying attention to her. That’s sparked a reciprocal response that neither person has acted on. But it feels bound to happen, with Sheila’s awareness of that stunner generating her turn back to villain status.
