Learning A Lesson With Danny Romalotti
Crashing Danny Romalotti’s (Michael Damian) wedding day twice was classic Phyllis. After all these soapy years, she still can’t control herself.
Christine Blair (Lauralee Bell) re-added Romalotti to her moniker after remarrying Danny. Devoted viewers know their first marriage was thwarted by Phyllis, who falsely claimed that Danny was the father of her first child, Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei).
As Cricket said, Phyllis’ second appearance on the day of the Romalotti’s re-nuptials was okay. She actually offered a decent toast, admitting that she recognized that Danny and Christine loved each other. In her unique way, Phyllis has moved on.
Cane Ashby Recognizes The Performance Artist
Phyllis is a very dramatic human. She thrives on attention and has long used her emotions to manipulate others.
So, Cane believed that everything Phyllis did and said while they were together before, during, and after Danny and Christine’s wedding had multiple purposes. One of the intentions was to influence him.
However, Cane isn’t totally distracted by Phyllis. He believes in his gut that she stole the artificial intelligence tool Arabesque created, and he wanted to lord over the legacy families of GC.
Lily Winters’ (Christel Khalil) coming absence will create a gap that makes Phyllis an obvious rebound choice. But a matter of months is more than enough time for Cane to see Phyllis as an alternative romantic connection, with business benefits included.
Phyllis Summers Can Win Through The Sheer Force Of Her Will
After all she did to Danny, he still feels compassion for her. While she’s vexing and was never a true love, Damian’s character shares a bond through Daniel that overrides all else.
Cane won’t stand in Danny’s place in modern times. So, how will Phyllis win him over?
Well, she’s already lured him partway down the daytime road. Phyllis is intoxicating, as many men, including Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman), Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson), and others know.
Cane and Phyllis love their children deeply, and they are both outsiders. There’s plenty of commonality in those backstories to create a believable and viable bond, with the entertainment value of their pairing also projecting nicely.
