General Hospital Spoilers leak Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) and Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) have been circling each other for months.
Michael took it as a betrayal of family loyalty and personal insult that Chase jumped on Willow Tait Cain’s (Katelyn MacMullen) team and defended her as innocent.
But it wasn’t just that Chase thought their shared ex-wife didn’t shoot Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison); it was that he believed Michael did — and was framing Willow for the crime. Brutal!
Michael wasn’t seeking discord with Chase, but the detective seemed committed to standing firm in his position. Now that Willow has been found not guilty, Chase is even more convinced that she is innocent.
That’s fair, but asking Michael to shake hands and claim bygones after Chase insinuated for months that he was an attempted murderer is going a bit far.
So, can we blame Michael for taking a jab at Chase’s character this week? Can we blame Chase for taking a swing at Michael’s face? Eek!
The Gloves Are Off!
Look, no one punched Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) in her face last week when she asked Chase point blank if he was cheating on her granddaughter.
Brook Lynn might have gotten curt with her Granny and asked her to back off, but everyone kept their wits about them. Folks, that is no longer the case. Because the first pass wasn’t enough, Michael and Chase confronted each other again in one of the many Quartermaine living areas.

When Michael asked Chase how long until he’s back in her (Willow’s) bed, the detective didn’t hesitate before swinging his left hook.
Chase is Flirting with Disaster
Chase didn’t just punch Michael. He punched one of the wealthiest and most powerful men in the city, while being a police detective with the PCPD who is currently suspended. Dante Falconeri’s (Dominic Zamprogna) life is about to get a whole lot more complicated.
He already had to suspend Chase, a move he didn’t want to make. On top of having to build a case against his own brother in Drew’s shooting, now he may have to fire his partner while he remains Acting Police Commissioner in Anna Devane’s (Finola Hughes) absence.
Is Chase reacting so strongly to the implications that he’s a cheater because deep down he knows he’s not over Willow?
Blood is Thicker Than Water
Like it or not, we’ve seen this play out before. Sure, Michael baited him a bit, but Chase has lost control — and it didn’t just happen in this exchange.
It probably happened last year, when he lost his family, then he lost the prospect of his own children, and then he sort of lost his own wife to his partner and a child he never knew existed. It’s been a lot, and Willow needing him gave him some purpose he hadn’t felt in a while, if I’m guessing.
But the Quartermaine’s aren’t likely to take any of that into account. Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) and Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) might remain the most diplomatic for Brook Lynn’s sake.
Tracy is certain to have some strong opinions and may even side with Michael, risking her relationship with Brook Lynn. Where will the rest of the Q’s stand? Keep checking back for more GH news and spoilers to find out.
