The Young And The Restless Spoilers: Fake Abduction Helps Cane? – Victor Goes to War

The Young and The Restless: Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn)

The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) took a page from Matt Clark’s (Roger Howarth) playbook. That villain recently abducted his wife, Sienna Bacall (Tamara Braun) and Noah Newman (Lucas Adams) and planned to kill them.

,Thankfully, the above plot was prevented. Then, Victor took control of Matt and turned him into the authorities. That happened after Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) held Matt captive.

So, with forced captivity being current, Victor decided to use that tactic against Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn). This gambit assumes that Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) will be part of the ruse.

Lily Winters Felt Compelled To Leave Town

Viewers know that Khalil left the cast to have her second child. A guesstimate of her return to the show would be spring-ish. That would put Lily back on the canvas by May or June, approximately.

Lily couldn’t stand who Cane has become. But she was willing to give him multiple second chances, and he squandered them all.

The entrance of Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) into the picture complicated Cane’s reunion plans. But he’s the one who recruited her and Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) to his initial Arabesque takeover plot.

Nikki Newman Is Conditionally On Board

Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) told her husband that she wanted to know what he was having Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) work on. Victor hesitated but did tell his wife the details.

Victor was wise to include Nikki because her idea to include Lily in the implied kidnapping makes it more likely to be successful. How Khalil’s character handles the twins’ knowledge of what is happening will likely be handled off-screen.

The Young and The Restless: Victor Newman (Eric Braeden)

Cane Ashby Temporarily King Of The Mountain

Cane waltzed into Newman Enterprises with his second-choice queen, Phyllis. Together, they told Victor to vacate the building.

Phyllis was blunt. Her king was more nuanced. But their message was clear and seemingly impossible to legally block because of the artificial intelligence’s dexterity in producing clean-looking documents.

Victor might have to temporarily surrender his business, making Cane the king of the mountain in Genoa City, Wisconsin. But Lily’s agreement to go along with this kidnapping plot, in order to teach Cane a lesson, feels like a punt.

Khalil should return later this year. Lily will have schooled her ex-husband, who is also the man she still loves. Where Cane is by that time down the daytime road will likely also be very different than where he stands today, making the reconciliation he desires more plausible.

Viewers know that Cane and Phyllis won’t last forever. They might not last until Valentine’s Day, and surely aren’t each other’s sweethearts.

Their connection is a revenge alliance, and when circumstances overtake them or implode, fingers will be pointed. Cane hasn’t stopped loving Lily and won’t. She’s out of sight and mind, but her returned presence will shift the dynamic back to what Cane intended. Their family could reunite before the year’s end.
