General Hospital Spoilers: Emma Comes Home - Just In Time For More Bad News On the Grandparent FrontGeneral Hospital spoilers reveal Emma Scorpio Drake (Bradyn Bruner) left Port Charles last week for San Francisco, where she would have to break the news to her mother, Robin Scorpio Drake (Kimberly McCullough), that Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) is stuck in a mental healthcare facility in France after suffering some kind of psychotic break.

Of course, the fan base is hoping that this means not only will Emma come back to town, but that she’ll drag Robin back with her. We just hope it happens before Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) takes off for three months.

But word is circulating that Robert Scorpio’s (Tristan Rogers) memorial service will take place soon enough, and while that’s going to come as a crushing blow for both Robin and Emma, it would be just the thing to bring them back home.

Farewell, Tristan Rogers

Tristan Rogers passed away on August 15, 2025, following a challenging battle with lung cancer.

He was 79 years old. Since then, GH cast members have likely been poised to fashion some kind of tribute to him, and many have expressed negative feedback that his death hasn’t been addressed yet even though Luke Spencer’s (Anthony Geary) — which didn’t occur until four months later — is being memorialized this Friday. Of course, Luke was already deceased and given a memorial service on the show in 2022.

Fans should be relieved that plans for similar for Robert are apparently in the works.

Robert’s Memorial is in the Making

With Emma already feeling like she has lost her grandmother, possibly permanently, the very real loss of her grandfather could send her reeling.

Being with the people she cares about most in that time of grief is going to be a likely new focal point in her storyline.

What does Emma’s life look like moving forward if she’s not chasing down corrupt professors and combating her grandma? It might look like her coming into her own and building a life with Giovanni ‘Gio’ Palmieri (Giovanni Mazza).

Emma’s Future is Open-Ended

Gio has already confided in Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) about how worried he is that Emma will never come back to Port Charles. Without Anna to anchor her there, Gio views Emma as being untethered to the area.

It seems more like he’s underestimating her though, and her affection for him. Anna might have been the touchstone for her when she first came to town — mixed up and in need of a stronger foundation — but Emma has grown since then and doesn’t require the guardrails Anna installed around her anymore.

I have zero concerns that Emma will stay away for very long. How about you? Share your thoughts in the comments, and keep checking back for more GH news and spoilers.
