The Young And The Restless Spoilers: Victoria Turns Tough, Jack Monitors The Fallout

The Young And The Restless Spoilers: Victoria Turns Tough, Jack Monitors The FalloutThe Young and the Restless spoilers document that Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) is paying Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) back. She’s playing hardball by sending their children back to boarding school without his input or approval.

Billy knows that his ex-wife is retaliating because he was given control of Chancellor Industries.

Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) followed through on Cane Ashby’s (Billy Flynn) promise by signing Chancellor over to Billy and agreeing to allow Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) to become head of the combined Abbott Communications and Newman Media.

Victoria Newman Is Certain That Reign Will Be Short

Billy is invested in Phyllis being able to hold power that she’s successfully stolen from Victor Newman (Eric Braeden).

Victoria has inside knowledge about Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) and the twins being safe and sound, rather than held hostage, which gave her a leg up on Cane.

But it’s a different story when it comes to Billy. He holds apparent legal control of Chancellor. But the artificial intelligence tool Phyllis used to steal Newman Enterprises represents a clear break with the law, unless whatever is on the books hasn’t caught up to modern technology.

What Victoria, her father, and the other Newmans are counting on is Victor being able to either prove that Phyllis committed multiple criminal acts or that he’ll retake control through other means.

Better For Billy Abbott To Be Heading Chancellor

Billy’s argument was right but weak. Victoria instantly rejected his assertion that Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) is better off knowing that he is running Chancellor. The alternative would have Phyllis overseeing it as one of the divisions of Newman Enterprises or whatever she’ll choose to call it.

Cane rejected Phyllis’ idea that the company be rebranded. Something like Ashby Summers or, again with the mashed idea, Cyllis would be more electric, with that pronunciation starting with the word kill. Instead, she might simply call it Phyllis because its a single entity monster.

Expecting the business world to take Phyllis seriously is quite a stretch, as is this plot. How long viewers suspend disbelief, assuming they have, is a fair point to consider.

Spectra Charles Communications Could Have Been Sparkle

Smashed potatoes are an enjoyable treat, as fans of spuds know. A palatable name game in daytime involves taking one part of a person’s name and smashing it into another to create a new whole.

This soapy practice is sometimes acknowledged by the characters through dialogue, which is a wink to the fans who generally create the names or popularize them through repeated online use.

Sally’s idea to re-brand the combined media companies as Spectra Charles Communications is a rather corporate approach and one that’s surprising, considering her creative flair. Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) was stunned that Sally offered her a co-Chief Executive Officer spot and part of the renamed company’s luster.

Combining the first half of Sally’s last name and Audra’s, while adding the letter k in the middle for some kick could have been a better and more fun choice. Of course, fans can surely think of many other alternative choices as well.
