General Hospital spoilers remind fans that it’s been a hot minute since Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) has been in the land of Port Charles. In fact, the young mom quickly fled the little town after she had her first child back in July 2025.
While fans know that Willow Cain (Katelyn MacMullen) was the one stalking, Daisy Gilmore (Brenden & Evelyn Beimford), Sasha didn’t, and she wanted to protect her child at all costs.
Many GH viewers would love to see Sasha return, and some recently let their voice be heard!
Sofia Mattsson’s New Look
The actress who plays Sasha, Sofia Mattsson, took a selfie and uploaded it to her Instagram account this past week. She was sporting a new look, now a brunette versus a blonde, and as Mattsson doesn’t post a ton on social media, fans flocked to the pic.
The caption on the post read, “Soaking up the LA sunshine”, and even fellow GHer Katelyn MacMullen commented on the picture by saying, “Yeah, she is!” – to which Mattsson replied with two heart emojis.
GH Fans Want Sofia Mattsson Back
Of course, there were plenty of General Hospital fans who flooded the comment section, begging for Sofia – and Sasha – to return to the land of Port Charles. Some were pleading for a hint from the actress as to whether she was coming back to GH, and others were offering storyline ideas for her return.
There was one fan who wanted Sasha to come back and “kick Willow to the curb,”; while another would love to see Daisy’s mom return, as long as she stayed away from Daisy’s dad, Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson), as this viewer likes him paired up with Jacinda Bracken (Paige Hershell).

One viewer pointed out that if Sasha were to return, she could be reunited with her brother, Ethan Lovett, as Nathan Parsons is on the cusp of coming back to the show in April.
GH audiences are clearly missing Sasha, so will Sofia Mattsson return to the ABC soap anytime soon?
