Prince William allegedly took control of the monarchy’s family drama. If you follow the royal family, you might have heard a lot of talk about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle returning to the UK this summer. Well, that might happen, but the controversial couple won’t be doing it after a gilt-edged invite from the Palace. Read on to find out more.
Brother Boycott
Neil Sean, royal commentator using his own opinions and his “sources,” chatted about it on his Daily News Headlines vlog on YouTube on Monday night. According to him, Prince William allegedly “said no go” to any meeting with his younger brother.
The reason for that? Well, the Prince of Wales tries avoiding any further stress for his aging dad, King Charles. After the shooting at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner this weekend, it was thought Charles and Camilla should cancel. Anyway, they didn’t and landed stateside on Monday 27th. So, he embarks on a rather strenuous itinerary in the United States.
The King’s Bucket List
Sean argued that King Charles pushes himself too hard. He’s in his 70s after all, and fights cancer, so those concerns seem real, not to mention his son, Prince Harry, saying and doing some rather embarrassing things. Whether Harry’s on that must-see visit or not, seems up in the air depending on what tabloid you read. The bucket list of King Charles does involve a lot of things though, and in Sean’s opinion it’s because unlike his mom, decades as the monarch seems unlikely.
But the bigger problem, according to Sean, is Harry. He said the king felt “very upset behind the scenes” about Harry’s glib remark in Australia regarding fatherhood. Sean also brought up the coronation, calling Meghan Markle’s absence a “disgusting array of disrespectfulness.” In his opinion, Meghan should have let Archie go with Harry. But she didn’t want that, because she allegedly couldn’t get what she wanted.
William Takes Control
Sean claimed that even if Charles wants to discreetly invite Harry, Prince William blocks it by controlling when his own family visits Balmoral. Notably, as William is the future monarch, he gets preference. So, it’s not as if Charles can just sneak Harry in. Mind you, as an aside here, if he spoke with his brother Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, he might get some tips on how to do that.
Next, Prince Harry came under fire from the royal commentator who opined that he thinks he can “bully his way back into this thing or else I’ll just have a tantrum.” Nevertheless, it doesn’t seem to be working for him. So, Sean credited Prince William.
While a lot of the chat by Sean was speculative and opinionated, he obviously believes what he’s saying because the monologue ended with the expert saying, “Harry, if you’re watching this, no need to bother with the letters and the emails. It’s done.”
Viewers React
In the comments section of the video, plenty of people agreed that Prince William seems strong, decisive, and a man with his head screwed on. One commenter said, “William is a MAN who has his priorities right.”
Here are a few more responses from the discussion:
- Yes, Harry is a bully and throws tantrums if he can’t have his way.
- ‘Harry ‘Waaagh I didn’t want to be a royal’ … ‘I am still a working royal.’
- William will clean house. Harry should be afraid when he becomes King.
- Harry acts like he can return as if nothing has happened and everything will be the same.”
