The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers document that the setup is that Taylor Hayes (Rebecca Budig) and Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan) should fear the reaper, otherwise known as Sheila Carter Sharpe (Kimberlin Brown).
But that’s a tired, anticipatory request, which begs a far more compelling alternative question.
What if Taylor shouldn’t be scared, but Sheila should be?
Imagine a storyline in which Taylor, who is comparable to Lauren Fenmore Baldwin (Tracy Bregman) in daytime days gone by, takes an unexpected stand. Deacon is prepared to defend the new woman he loves, which should mean that he doesn’t run and hide from Sheila either.
Lauren Fenmore Baldwin Crossed Over
Sheila famously crossed over from the elder-sister show The Young and the Restless in 1992. That set the soapy mark between these shows as she and various other characters have crossed over and back in the decades that followed.
Lauren crossed over as well, confronting her Genoa City, Wisconsin, nemesis in Los Angeles, California. Brown has referenced how great it was working with Bregman and vice versa. One aspect of their character’s connections includes the difference in size.
That’s one of the comparable elements between the Sheila-Lauren battle of old and the current storyline. Taylor, like Lauren, is noticeably smaller than Sheila. That factor alone causes traditional fear.
Quinn Fuller Handled Sheila Carter
Lauren held her own against Sheila through the years. Devoted fans also know that Quinn Fuller (Rena Sofer) deserves to be mentioned because she physically defeated Sheila a handful of years ago.
Before her most recent comeback, Sheila returned to LA from 2017 to 2018. She targeted Quinn during that period, hoping to rekindle romance with Eric Forrester (John McCook) and push his then-wife out of the way.

Brown’s character played off a lower-body injury during that storyline, which facilitated her stay at the Forrester mansion per Eric’s allowance and Quinn’s disdain. A memorable physical battle took place at the climax, with Quinn pinning Sheila to the ground. Brown’s character left town soon thereafter.
Taylor Hayes Bounces Back From Brooke Logan Forrester Defeat
Part of what Taylor can channel is the resonant feelings she has about Brooke Logan Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang). There’s no denying that Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) made a conclusive choice when breaking his engagement to Taylor and remarrying Brooke.
Sheila and Taylor don’t like Brooke and share a grandchild in Hayes Finnegan (Bryan David Garlick). Both factors led to a quasi-bond.
But Sheila’s staggering recognition that Taylor isn’t the friend and champion of her marriage will lead to a natural confrontation. An unexpected twist would be to have Budig’s character not only stand up to Sheila but, as was true with Quinn, defeat her by not being scared.
Brown’s character might actually respect Taylor, in time, and apply her animus to Deacon. He’s committed to a new woman and should be the one to face the brunt of Sheila’s response. So, maybe Taylor defends Deacon from Sheila. That would be a sweet surprise in this storyline.
