The Young And The Restless Spoilers: Sharon and Noah Fooled as Matt Unleashes Chilling Performance

The Young and The Restless: Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) and Noah Newman (Lucas Adams)

The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) thought that Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) was updating her.

Noah Newman (Lucas Adams) was desperate for information and, like his mother, didn’t consider that he was being fooled again.

Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) has proven to be a worthy adversary. Yet, multiple Newman family members have taken their hands off his neck. Why they let go of the death grip is worthy of debate.

However, soap fans know that it’s been far better to have Howarth, one of the great actors of his generation, on for a longer rather than shorter stint. That makes the flow of this terrific storyline digestible.

Matt Clark Is Mister Mercurial

He was assumed dead. Long-term audience members hadn’t seen him in nearly a quarter-century when he was last played by the also great Rick Hearst (Matt).

Matt’s resurgence has been relentless and fierce. His reckless mindset has put him near death, at Nick’s hands on more than one occasion, yet it didn’t happen.

The Newman family is despised because, in his mind, Matt holds them responsible for his many woes. Irresponsibility isn’t something that he recognizes, instead choosing to believe that Sharon, Nick, and those who have been connected to them across the daytime years are the cause of his consequences.

Howarth’s riveting performance is unarguably great. He should submit his name in the Daytime Emmy Award nomination pool, with a win never expected but also not surprising if it happens.

Nick Newman’s Addiction Enables First Abduction

If Nick hadn’t allowed himself to fall into addiction, he wouldn’t be thinking irrationally. And yes, he had free will and could have sought help for his illegal substance issue, but he didn’t.

All Genoa City, Wisconsin, based addicts deserve full consideration, support, and effective rehabilitation programs. But denying that all of them chose the way can enable others to rationalize making wrong choices in the future, and no responsible Newman family member, or anyone else from GC to Las Vegas, Nevada, should be wise to do that.

Sharon Newman Should Know Better

Some consideration, but not much, can be offered to Noah. He’s young, impulsive, and also inexperienced in dealing with Matt’s variations.

Yes, Noah has been one of Matt’s victims. But that happened recently and is tied to his involvement with Sienna Bacall (Tamara Braun).

Sharon was brutally attacked by Matt more than thirty years ago. She, more than anyone, has suffered the most at these dirty hands. So why did she blindly take Noah to a remote location based purely on a text message that they assumed Nick sent?

Combine the above with Nick blocking Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) from calling Sharon, and Matt has an open line on his next two revenge targets. Is this setup borrowed from many horror movie plots?
