The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) is as cantankerous as he’s ever been. Even Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) has a level of compassion for the lout.
Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) doesn’t even receive backhanded credit for her victory. Though everyone in town believes her win will be short-lived. However, defeating the Moustache and literally stealing his company, while also not going to jail for doing so, is impressive.
The truth is that Phyllis, more than any other person who has ever lived in Genoa City, Wisconsin, upstaged the previously dubbed Great Man. She’s the self-appointed Great Lady of this Midwestern town. But other than Lauren Fenmore Baldwin (Tracey Bregman), Phyllis has no one to celebrate her most incredible victory with.
Jack Abbott Is Collateral Damage
Facing an inability to strike back at Phyllis, Victor defaulted. Attacking Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) was easy pickings for Victor’s vulture-like cravings.
He demolished Jack and Diane Jenkins Abbott’s (Susan Walters) marriage, which was a revenge play. Viewers recall, and Braeden’s character has repeatedly said, that Jack nearly killed Nikki, which is an exaggeration to the utmost degree.
His now-estranged wife was never in danger of losing her life, but Jack was. Plus, Jack’s reckless but also selfless efforts forced Nikki to quit drinking. That’s always bothered Victor because it proved Jack held sway with that area of Nikki’s life, and he didn’t.
Phyllis Summers Reached For Support
Bringing Lauren on board at the clumsily named Summers Conglomerate was a smart move. It was also the only one Phyllis could make because she is poison.
No one of any worth wants to partner with Phyllis because they believe what she did was wrong and also fear Victor’s wrath in the short- and long-term. That’s a rational stance and one that everyone has taken.
Connected to that tight spot is family fallout, with Summer Newman (last played by Allison Lanier) having cut her off and Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei) issuing an ultimatum to his mother. Until she returns Newman Enterprises to Victor, he won’t have anything to do with her.
Los Angeles, California, Isn’t A City Of Angels
The angels is the translation of this famous city’s name. However, Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) is hardly that. He’s the opposite, as his increasing volume of Newman family victims understands.
Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) are being held hostage. Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) is in danger of the same happening, and it’s fair to conclude that Riza Thompson (Tina Casciani) is in trouble, too.
Noah Newman (Lucas Adams) is heading to LA. Sienna Bacall (Tamara Braun) can’t let the man she loves put himself in her estranged husband’s crosshairs. So, she and Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) seem likely to head there as well.
If Victor wasn’t distracted by Phyllis’ theft, he’d be able to focus on what really matters. Multiple family members’ lives are in serious jeopardy, and they could use his help.
