A new Jill Abbott debuted this week on The Young and the Restless and concerned viewers want to know what happened to fan fave Jess Walton. After decades on the CBS soap, Lauren Koslow took over as a recast of the popular character.

Who Is The New Jill Abbott
Lauren Koslow made her debut on The Young and the Restless on Friday May 8. If you watch Days of Our Lives on Peacock, then more than likely you recognized the Jill Abbott recast.
Koslow has been a member of the DOOL cast and played fan fave Kate Roberts since 1996. She also appeared on The Bold and the Beautiful in the 1980’s and on The Young and the Restless decades ago as another character named Lindsey Wells.
The Young and the Restless viewers weren’t expecting to see a new face on the soap opera and the network didn’t reveal their Jill Abbott recast until the episode aired on May 8. However, we can report that Jess Walton is just fine and has plans to return to Y&R soon.
Where Is Jess Walton
According to The Young and the Restless spoilers, Jess Walton lives out of state and there was a scheduling conflict when she was supposed to return to filming. So, Koslow stepped in on a temporary basis.
Y&R casting news from TV Insider reveals, “Lauren Koslow (Kate Roberts, Days of Our Lives) is returning to The Young and the Restless for a brief stint as Jill Abbott, temporarily filling in for Jess Walton.
Due to a scheduling conflict, Walton — who lives in Oregon — was unable to travel to Los Angeles for an upcoming story arc, prompting the soap to call on Koslow.”
