The soap world is a small one, as viewers learned. As the readers of this comprehensive soap site anticipated, Remy Price (Christian Weissman) is connected to Melissa. He is her cousin.
Weissman’s dialogue helped to flesh out this family’s backstory. Remy and his family lived in Texas, where he was once friends with Electra. Melissa lived with her family in the Midwest. The odds of them being linked in the real world are extraordinary, but in daytime, they are one-to-one.
Electra Forrester Is Getting By
Electra told Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) that she’s doing better. He checked in after everyone learned what Ivy Forrester (Ashleigh Brewer) was doing.
Will Spencer (Crew Morrow) told his restored girlfriend that he didn’t want her to think about the trouble they had. He wants We, their self-created nickname, to be about love.
The step Electra took toward Melissa, when revealing that Remy deep-faked her, was well-timed. It just so happened that he’d been using a masked voice to contact Melissa, and then the fans learned that they were cousins. Such is the daytime world.
Remy Price Is Still That Person
Telling Melissa that he’s not the person who tormented Electra in Texas and again in Los Angeles, California, doesn’t make it true. But that’s what someone who lives in a delusional fantasy world believes. If he says it, then that’s reality.
Deke Sharpe (Harrison Cone) would be wise to keep his distance from Remy. Cone’s character has become friends with Melissa. That happened after they met, and he offered her a chance to work at Il Giardino washing dishes.
Melissa didn’t need to make use of that kind-hearted offer for long because Steffy Forrester Finnegan (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) soon offered her the plum secretarial spot at Forrester Creations. Again, good timing, folks.
What’s clearer than ever is that Remy doesn’t know how to function in society. There’s no telling when he’ll do something strange again, with Melissa probably being the person who’s hurt by his erratic behavior.
Melissa Dylan Needs To Lay Low
All Melissa wants to do is handle her new job and get along with everyone at FC. She finally has enough money to support herself and can’t afford to blow this great opportunity Steffy’s compassionate offer provided.
So, Remy’s emergence in Melissa’s world is highly problematic. Electra’s trust will be shattered, probably irreversibly, if she soon learns that Melissa’s cousin is Remy, and she didn’t acknowledge that fact during her reveal about the deep fakes.
Considering Remy’s past, his request for a favor to be repaid is troubling. Viewers heard him say that he coached Melissa. So, he thinks he deserves credit for her current success and wants to horn in on it. That reinforces that he hasn’t changed and probably isn’t capable of doing so in the near future.
