The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers document that Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) stood in his wife’s mansion on the night she gave him an order. Brooke Logan Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) reinforced her directive the next morning before sending her nine-time husband off to work.
Ridge was told by Brooke that she would become his co-Chief Executive Officer. Steffy Forrester Finnegan (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood), his daughter, needed to be pushed aside to make that happen.
How fitting it was when Ridge entered the Forrester Creations’ executive suite that Steffy was on the phone, asserting her power. She was telling whoever was on the other end that a better deal needed to be offered if they wanted to do business. That’s how it’s done, and Stephanie Forrester (Susan Flannery) would approve if she were still alive.
Brooke Logan Forrester Wants What’s Rightfully Hers
Let’s be clear, Brooke was not thinking about a new position. But Hope Logan Spencer (Annika Noelle) made an emotional plea that pushed all of her mother’s buttons.
Brooke believes that she’s a legend, and that’s true. Hope played off that status as the basis of justifying the claiming of a title that should be rightfully hers.
It’s not that she was going to ask Ridge for a promotion. Rather, Hope persuaded her mother to believe that Steffy was occupying a position that was rightfully Brooke’s. Kudos to Hope for that coercive technique, the type of which she learned by watching who else through the years? Yes, her mother.
Hope Logan Spencer Is Trying To Shift Drama
Hope is being forced to sit and wait for an even longer, indefinite period until Steffy is good and ready to allow her line to be taken from mothball status. That’s not fair and is based on the long-standing grudges both ladies have against each other.
So, in a brilliant conceptual move, Hope tried to flip who holds power at FC. If she’s successful, Brooke will hold sway at the Forrester family business. Ridge would be second in command, and if he believes otherwise, then the separation or divorce cards could be played.
Ridge Forrester Didn’t Consult Eric Forrester
It would have been natural for Ridge to take a moment and talk with his father after all that had happened in recent months. Eric Forrester (John McCook) was heard, at least that’s what he and the audience believed.
Yet, Ridge didn’t contact the one person on the planet who has the deepest level of experience in this exact scenario. Who better to offer advice than the co-founder of FC and the man who just left the company and then returned because respect was reestablished?
Well, Ridge passed along Brooke’s idea to Steffy before doing so. Now, he’ll need to involve his father to handle the multiple reactions that will happen no matter what’s decided. Eric is the Chairman Emeritus and remains the wisest of them all in this part of the fashion world.
Most importantly, he’s Ridge’s dad, Brooke’s father-in-law, and her ex-husband, and Steffy’s grandfather. They will listen to him if any or all seek his counsel, especially if Ridge decides to tell Brooke no.
