In a surprising choice, Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) stood his ground. He made the right decision by not demoting Steffy and giving in to Brooke Logan Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang).
Viewers know that Ridge hasn’t often disappointed his Logan. But this is business and family combined. It just didn’t make sense to elevate Brooke to a position she hadn’t earned, no matter her feelings otherwise.
Brooke Logan Forrester Doesn’t Always Win
Yes, Brooke is remarried to Ridge again. But anyone who’s watched this enduring soap opera for any period of time knows that she’s lost love battles across the years.
Divorcing someone eight times could be considered as eight defeats, regardless of who was right or wrong during any of those instances. But they always found their way back to each other because of love.
Well, love is something that Brooke needs to contemplate because if she does, Lang’s character will realize that her feelings for Ridge should include respect. Was she offering that by demanding he replace his exemplary co-Chief Executive Officer, who is also his daughter, with her?
No, she was not. So, it will be interesting to see how Brooke responds this spring and beyond.
Steffy Forrester Finnegan Stood Firm
Steffy isn’t a shrinking violet. But she told her father that the strong persona that she projects doesn’t represent her inner thoughts.
Like anyone, Steffy is vulnerable to certain aspects of life. Longtime fans know that her relationship with Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) really messed with her mind, but they are in a good space today, and John Finn Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) is her beloved husband and Hayes Finnegan’s (Bryan David Garlick) stand-up father.
Plus, he is a solid stepfather to Kelly Spencer (Sophia Paras McKinlay).
It was right for Steffy to tell Ridge exactly what Brooke was attempting and that it was wrong of her to do so. Steffy’s reaction to Brooke’s power play wasn’t about grudges; it was about the best interests of Forrester Creations.
Hope Logan Spencer’s Time With Forrester Creations Appears Short
Hope Logan Spencer (Annika Noelle) has to look out for her best interests. As Liam told her, she’s not a Forrester. Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) repeatedly sent Katie Logan Spencer (Heather Tom) the same message, and now she heads Logan.
It’s easy to see that Hope’s attempt to stay at FC was heartfelt. She wanted to work with her mother and continue with Hope for the Future within the confines of the Forrester family’s business.
But that’s not going to be the case. Unless something dramatically changes, Hope appears destined to join the growing ranks at Logan.
