The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) lied to Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott). He later told Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) that he stretched the truth and exaggerated a bit, which gives Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) a slight opening.
It has felt like Victor’s dismissive attitude toward Nikki and Diane Jenkins Abbott’s (Susan Walters) move out of the Abbott mansion that she refreshed in the recent past, was intertwined.
Diane openly complimented Victor about being right about Jack’s roguish demeanor in front of them at the Genoa City Athletic Club, which was noteworthy.
While Diane and Victor don’t seem inclined to ever rekindle their romantic interest in each other, Jack and Nikki have remained good friends many years after divorcing each other. So, it seems like Jack’s deception will damage the trust they share and open the daytime door to the Moustache.
Patty Williams Contacts The Moustache
Patty Williams (Stacy Haiduk) rescued Matt Clark (Roger Howarth), who was rendered unconscious by Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford). But Matt’s amnesiac state hasn’t affected his instincts.
Matt took off after chatting with Patty in Chancellor Park when he had an opportunity to do so. His opportunistic personality is similar to Patty’s, who appeared to remain loyal to Victor because of the vast sum he paid her to frame Jack.
The phone call she made to the Moustache had a direct intention. She wanted to tip Victor off to Matt’s whereabouts in GC.
Jack Abbott Plotting Against Victor Newman
Jack believes that he can use Patty’s fondness for him as an advantage. Kyle doesn’t like this plan, and Jack has said that he expects Patty’s unbalanced side to reemerge at some point.
So, Jack’s taking a page from his brother’s book. Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) has a gambling addiction and has made reckless decisions when desperate.
Jack’s effort falls into that category because he believes Patty is manageable and will help him prove Victor’s guilt, which will then prove to Diane that Jack is innocent. This plan could work, but the fact that Kyle is concerned about his mother’s whereabouts makes fans wonder if Patty kidnapped her or if some other nefarious act has occurred.
Nikki Newman Tries To Shift Focus From Her Husband
Nikki’s mental gymnastics to protect her husband are well known. She’s forgiven him everything and anything because of love. So, Jack raised his eyebrows when she suggested that Patty may have lied to him when claiming Victor was the bad guy.
Well, Jack is proving that he’s willing to be dishonest with her to try to push Nikki to convince herself to leave Victor forever. But that seems like an impossible goal.
No matter how many times they’ve separated and for the various times they’ve divorced, one reality consistently reappears. Nikki is Victor’s greatest love, and she’s that for him. So, the losers in all soapy plots always seem to be those who involve themselves in this show’s most famous relationship.
