The Young And The Restless Spoilers: Christine May Be Phyllis’ Only Lifeline As Patty Targets Matt

The Young and The Restless: Christine Romalotti (Lauralee Bell

The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Christine Romalotti (Lauralee Bell) gained an ability to affect her longtime rival’s freedom.

Agreeing to become Genoa City, Wisconsin’s, District Attorney for the second time means she has a direct influence over Phyllis Summers’ (Michelle Stafford) life.

But Christine’s power is a two-way street that is outside of GC’s courthouse. While Phyllis was arrested, she was not imprisoned, and it could be that The Bug, the degrading nickname used for decades, reaches a surprising conclusion.

Phyllis stole Cane Ashby’s (Billy Flynn) artificial intelligence program. She used it to steal from Newman Enterprises by creating a series of bogus digital documents that looked real.

Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) responded by paying to have another AI program created and used it to produce fake emails that appear to incriminate Phyllis.

Artificial Intelligence Fears Mined In Genoa City

AI is naturally a topic that can be mined in daytime through the characters that live in GC. As has been true of every other human advancement, fear exists with change, no matter what eventually results from it.

So, it made sense that this Midwestern town’s most powerful persona, Victor, would get his hands on what Cane intended to use as a weapon against him and others. Cane’s lack of business experience allowed Phyllis to exploit his weakness.

Daytime fans also know that having Stafford’s character sit in Victor’s office and then put that outrageous oil painting of herself on the wall in place of his outrageous image was too good.

Phyllis, rather than Cane as the head of Newman Enterprises, now known as Summers Conglomerate, makes soap sense and is a far more compelling conflict than having Flynn’s character occupy that lofty space.

Victor Newman’s Punishment Fits His Crimes

Phyllis really wants to rub Victor’s face in all that’s happened. She’s never forgotten that he used a doppelganger to replace Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman).

She also can’t get past him working with Patty Williams (Stacy Haiduk), who purposely used peanuts to attack an allergic Summer Newman (most recently played by Allison Lanier) when she was a child.

Being forced into exile at the Ranch is hardly like being in prison, where Phyllis, Jack, and many others believe he should be.

But for the Moustache, his forced exit from the company he founded more than fifty years ago in soap-time, is totally outrageous.

Devoted fans know that Victor didn’t actually found Newman Enterprises until the early 1980’s.

The late Katherine Chancellor (Jeanne Cooper) recruited him to move to town in 1980 and help her lead Chancellor Industries in the years following her beloved husband’s tragic death, which she caused through drunk driving.

Patty Williams Is An Uncontrollable Force

Haiduk is a brilliant actor whose return to Y&R is surely welcomed. It has been a while since the fans saw her.

She was last in league with Ian Ward (Ray Wise). So, because he never died, it would be quite the trio if Patty, Matt Clark (Roger Howarth), and Ian were all written into this storyline.

For now, Patty poses the greatest threat to Matt because she believes he’s been ungrateful to her. That should be good news for Jack, who is trying to work with her to pay Victor back.
