Steffy Forrester Finnegan (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) recently mined a grudge. She shelved Hope Logan Spencer’s (Annika Noelle) line and wouldn’t offer a restart date.
It’s not that the corporate fashion world is supposed to be warm. It’s not. But it is true that Steffy still harbors ill will because Hope ended up with Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) after that years-long battle inside that triangle.
Forrester Creations Feels Invincible
FC isn’t solely directed by family, but the Forresters rule. That’s what caused Katie Logan Spencer (Heather Tom) to see the value in her renewed husband’s offer to create Logan.
As long as the Forrester family calls the shots, they will prefer their own. That’s generally how it goes, especially in this version of Los Angeles, California, and there’s nothing wrong with that natural approach as long as business is good.
Losing the head of public relations. Well, that’s manageable. Losing Deke Sharpe (Harrison Cone), firing Will Spencer (Crew Morrow), and soon learning that Hope followed.
That’s a slow-drip problem because not all talent isn’t instantly replaceable and those who exited have taken their knowledge of FC with them.
Family Loyalty Isn’t In Play This Time
Katie, Deke, Will, and Hope are no longer loyal to the brand Eric Forrester (John McCook) created with his then-wife, Stephanie Forrester (Susan Flannery) many decades ago. Why should they be, especially considering how they were treated on the way out?
Turn to the Spencer clan for a momentary analysis. Logan is an upstart fashion house that has already made its mark.
Bill Spencer’s (Don Diamont) intentions were to have Katie lead a new division of his Spencer Publications business that has staying power.
He didn’t want a niche company, as Brooke Logan Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) assumed her baby sister would try to produce. So far, Bill’s hopes are proving out.
Ridge Forrester And Steffy Forrester Finnegan Feel Whiplash
Losing personnel is something every fashion business faces. However, responding to those losses helps to determine what comes next.
FC needs Eric’s coming collection to hit hard. Ridge and Steffy are trying to play off the major score he provided Logan and can’t afford any missteps.
Over at Logan, Hope and Deke are in a position to produce a post-Eric line. It will be interesting to see if Zende Forrester Dominguez (Delon de Metz) becomes the sixth defection.
Deke is a novice. Hope isn’t an artist. So, Logan needs more than promise and Noelle’s past accolades to take it to the next level. Momentum is with Logan for now, with FC relying on its co-founder to make a second consecutive win in a short time span.
