Sucker-punching RJ Forrester (Brayan Nicoletti) was impulsive and reckless. Will did that in public after being verbally provoked by the rival for Electra Forrester’s (Laneya Grace) love.
And that’s what this storyline is about. It’s a triangle between Will, Electra, and RJ, with Melissa Dylan’s (Sydney Bullock) recent elevation likely increasing this into a rectangular conflict.
Will Spencer Wants What He Wants
Electra instantly caught Will’s eye. That happened in the hallway at Forrester Creations, with devoted daytime viewers knowing they’d witnessed the start of something.
But what was that something?
Will and Electra became a likable pairing. RJ entered the scene later. He was the returned, jet-setting Forrester son, who was set to take his place in the family business.

But Will’s calculation was different. He never felt threatened by RJ because he knew, not just believed, that Electra’s love for him, not RJ, was strong.

What responsibility does Electra have in this situation?
This is the one answer that Will and RJ agree on. They believe she has none. But is that joint statement true?
Electra pushed RJ away when he initially tried to exploit the trouble she was having with Will a handful of weeks ago. She demonstrated good character in doing so.
Yes, Electra later kissed RJ, after he initiated, on more than one occasion. But she didn’t cheat on Will.
Leaving the beach house is another sound decision because Electra recognized that she needed distance to process Will’s latest outburst. Ivy Forrester’s (Ashleigh Brewer) warning proved true, as Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) finally recognized.
Ridge Forrester’s Paternal Instincts Take Hold
Ridge has been distracted by a lot of messy business matters. But now, after reconciling with his father and realizing that Logan is a legitimate threat, Kaye’s character sees that Electra needs his guidance.
Electra is a member of the Forrester family. But as the writing staff purposely pointed out through repeated points of dialogue, she isn’t related by blood to Ridge, who is not Eric Forrester’s (John McCook) biological son.
But Electra is a step-cousin, and Ridge sees that she needs guidance. His influence will impact the choices she makes in the days ahead as she reconsiders RJ’s warnings about Will.
As she told Will, love isn’t the question. His inability to control himself and his inability to avoid creating trouble are the issues that might be irreconcilable.
