The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers document that Taylor Hayes (Rebecca Budig) knows something is wrong.
She recently talked with Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) about it. He’s distracted by the family business and isn’t tuned into his daughter’s plight.
Viewers know exactly why Steffy Forrester Finnegan (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) has been distracted, as her mother has seen.
They also know that John Finn Finnegan’s (Tanner Novlan) assessment of his wife’s despondency has nothing to do with the aftereffects of seeing Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) on the beach in Monaco.
Now that Steffy was forced into Carter Walton’s (Lawrence Saint-Victor) conspiracy, it’s fair to ask who the first person will be to learn the truth. Of course, that’s different than gaining knowledge and exposing it.
Carter Walton Is Rationalizing Compassion
Carter is sincere when he’s been telling Steffy that revealing what happened between them would blow up their marriages, wreck their lives, and doom their child to a shameful existence.
However, he’s being totally self-serving, guilt-tripping her into going along with his scheme.
Plus, the fans saw him box Steffy into accepting his plan in front of his wife, Daphne Walton (Murielle Hilaire), at the cliff house.
That move was made out of desperation because neither Steffy nor Daphne bought what he initially pitched them separately.
Steffy was emotionally compromised, with Daphne being unaware that she was used to prey on her best friend’s psyche. It worked.
Can Steffy Forrester Finnegan Handle The Pressure Forever?
Steffy’s been noticeably dazed for days or weeks, or however long it’s been in soap-time since she confirmed the pregnancy. So, how can Carter expect her to feign normalcy forever?
Wood’s character will eventually break down, or if that doesn’t happen first, then she’ll need to unburden herself.
Savvy soap fans know where this paragraph is going. Yes, Taylor can be that confidant because it can’t be Daphne.
Being forced to lie to everyone, everywhere, throughout the entirety of her life simply isn’t possible.
At some point in the plot, possibly months into her pregnancy with Carter’s naturally conceived child, Steffy must unburden her soul, right?
Taylor Hayes Keeps The Confidence Or Presses For Reveal?
Taylor will be staggered by the news that her daughter didn’t donate one of her frozen eggs and become a surrogate so Daphne and Carter can have the child they desire but couldn’t have. That would have been a sugary sweet storyline.
But this is daytime. So, Taylor could learn that her daughter bolted from Monaco, boozed hard on the jet home, and then commiserated with Carter in the Forrester Creations’ executive office on the couch.
Not exactly a high fashion story revision, but it is great soap. Early kudos to the two main players, Wood and Saint-Victor, whose individual and combined work has been extraordinary.
An early scent of Daytime Emmy nominations is the fragrance that Daphne’s world-famous nose can surely smell.
