A Post Is Going Viral
The source of the complaint arrived via TikTok user @BaylorCarrots, and it went viral with thousands of comments and likes. And yes, the video showed young people covering their noses and grimacing. Her caption described it as:
When it smells like human waste and the US Open has known about it for days, yet continues to allow people to sit in Section 310.
Upset, the account claimed that “The Facilities Team and Guest Services told us they were already aware of the issue, but people were still being allowed to sit in the affected section.”
It’s not free to watch the US Open tennis tournament, so she, not unnaturally, complained, “We paid to attend the US Open and should not have to sit for hours in an area that smells like human waste.”
Tagging #USOpen, she ended by asking, “How is this acceptable?”

When the New York Post shared their story on Instagram, many people reacted, and some of them had been there. They confirmed the stench was terrible. One of them wrote, “Was in section 310 this weekend for the evening matches. Its was unbearable to sit in section 310.”
They also mentioned that other folks “complained at the service desk.” They added that they had allegedly been told someone would come and move them to a better location.
