That’s because there are a lot of viewers out there who think that making Eric Forrester (John McCook) the lead designer at Logan isn’t just a crazy idea; it’s catastrophic.

One of the reasons why Eric was pushed to retire at Forrester Creations by his very own son Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) was because he simply didn’t have faith in his designs anymore.

And that’s not to say that the talent isn’t there. It’s mostly because that spark seems to be gone. Fashion moves fast, but apparently Eric doesn’t move fast enough to keep up with it.

So for Katie to take on Eric at Logan is a huge gamble. Whether it’s worth it, is anyone’s guess at this moment. However, The Bold and the Beautiful fans had a lot to say about where this storyline is potentially going.

Some even commented with, “It creates tension that the show needs. Plus, it would be interesting if Eric was able to poach talent from Forrester Creations or some other fashion house to fill in the ranks at Logan since Katie is starting off with nothing but a name and a promotional campaign.”

Will Eric Deliver The Goods?

Another fan of the show wrote, “Eric enjoys competition (even with his son) and did not want to retire completely. The forced retirement and piddly retirement party were insulting. They tried to mop that up a little, but it was out of bounds to call that party a celebration of his career.”

Now, whether or not Katie’s gamble will pay off for her in the end, remains to be seen. Either this is going to work to her advantage or it’s going to blow up her entire fashion house before her very own eyes. Here’s hoping that won’t be the case, right?
