General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that there are a few plots irking fans right now, including a tough gal falling apart over a scar, a MIA coma survivor, and a couple of kissing cousins.
Here are three of the worst plots being put on the airwaves these days.
1. Maxie Jones’ Boring Return
Imagine coming out of a looong coma and then disappearing again. Because that’s exactly what the show has done to Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms).
After their initial thrill, Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins) and Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) have had nothing to say about Maximista. What’s more ridiculous—Maxie’s second disappearance or the way she sprung up from her hospital bed in full makeup and designer clothes?
How easy is it to write her into the Fake Nathan (Ryan Paevey) plot? Very easy, and her absence is ringing all sorts of alarm bells.
Per the opening credits, Storms is back on recurring status. That’s ok (we’re used to it) but why set the character and fans up for a nothingburger by having her declare she’s going to take down Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota)—wouldn’t she have to be onscreen to do that?
2. Jordan Ashford’s Pity Party
Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) and Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) had a car crash. As a result she has some cuts on her face and is now ready to become a hermit recluse because of that.
Jordan is an attractive woman and we get that her face is important to her. But fans are having a hard time buying her outlandishly over the top reaction.
Part of the reason this story is so implausible is because Jordan is a no-nonsense, tough as nails law enforcement bad a**. We’ve never once heard her whine about her hair and she doesn’t toil at Deception so her new looks-based priorities ring false.
3. Kissing Cousins Danny And Charlotte
This next one is controversial and might depend on if you liked Deliverance or not. Danny Morgan (Asher Antonzyn) and Charlotte Cassadine (Bluesy Burke) are blood-related to some degree of cousinry.
If we have it right, there is a Cassadine tie-in in both of their family trees. We’re not on Ancestry.com so don’t know their exact degree of relatedness.
But it’s enough to ruffle fans’ feathers as these two are acting on their mutual attraction.
