General Hospital spoilers and updates tease that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) is going from mob wars to boardroom battles! Now, the question that many fans have is, has Sonny got what it takes?
Jenz Sidwell’s Properties Are Being Auctioned Off, And Sonny’s Going To Be There To Bid
Jenz Sidwell’s (Carlo Rota) properties are being auctioned off, and that includes Sonny’s piers he was forced to sell him-his piers were where Corinthos Coffee was located as well.
Sonny does have legitimate businesses in Port Charles, some of which he’s partners with Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) in. There are Pozzulo’s and Volonino Gym there in Port Charles, and Sonny still has casinos on his island in Puerto Rico as well.
But, it wouldn’t be surprising to see Sonny want to branch into some other types of businesses as well-legitimate ones, of course.
That begs the question-are any of Sidwell’s businesses legitimate, or are they all fronts for something not so legitimate?
Sonny Has Gotten Himself On The Hospital Board, Business Boards Are Not That Different
Sonny has gotten himself on the hospital board, a scandalous development as far as Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) was concerned! Yet, he was properly voted in and vetted, so there’s not a lot that she could say about it, even if she had tried-she was pretty much overruled already!
Sonny has always been a huge supporter of General Hospital, and everything associated with it, and especially the Nurses’ Ball, so if they accepted his money, they could accept him.
And as far as being in business boardroom, Sonny has some negotiating experience-even though he may have gotten it from meetings of the Five Families. ‘
If Sonny was able to talk down mafia dons and keep the East Coast from being torn apart with mob wars, certainly he can get the business negotiating down!
If Sonny Stays On His Meds, He Should Be Successful In Regular Business
As long as Sonny stays on his meds, he should be successful in regular business practices and negotiations, because it does take a cool head and leadership abilities.
It’s not that Sonny doesn’t have the smarts, even if he doesn’t have an MBA degree-like many, he graduated from the School of Hard Knocks! It’s \ to be a different life, for sure-after being mobbed up for over forty years or more-he started as a teenager.
However, he will also learn with such a midlife ninety-degree turn career wise, he’ll have to prove himself, especially to his peers and competitors. But that shouldn’t be too difficult, since he’s ran legitimate businesses and still does, in addition to everything else.
