He almost lost both of his parents because of Patty Williams (Stacy Haiduk), who returned to Genoa City, Wisconsin, because of Victor Newman (Eric Braeden).
Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) was drugged by Patty, which led to his marital separation.
Then, he pursued a reckless plan that led to him nearly being stabbed to death just after Kyle rescued his mother, Diane Jenkins Abbott (Susan Walters), from being held hostage.
Diane was forced into captivity by Dr. Laurence Markham (Jere Burns), with whom Patty had a weird connection while in a mental health facility. At the dark heart of all that’s happened is the Moustache.
Victor Newman Acknowledges Complicity
Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) got her restored husband to acknowledge his complicity in Jack’s crises.
Victor remains vexed that his one true love wants to remain friends with the man he’s long loathed.
The reason why Victor despises Jack is simply complex. He wants all of Nikki’s attention at every moment and is jealous of a man that she’s never been more in love with than him.
Nikki was devastated during the period when Victor became enchanted with Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson).
But today, Thomas Scott’s character gets along with Ashley, who isn’t friends with Victor, and is very fond of Abby Newman Winters (Melissa Ordway).
Jack Abbott And Diane Jenkins Abbott Are Grateful
Jack couldn’t explain away being caught on that yacht with Patty in a scenario that Victor engineered. Oddly, Diane knew about Victor’s involvement and that Patty drugged Jack, prodding his addiction issue, yet still left him.
Viewers likely felt that portion of the plot felt like a push to make everything that followed happen.
However, it was a compelling tale that included dangerous curves and generally believable outcomes.
Fans can accept the shared gratitude that Jack and Diane share now that they’ve survived the onslaught.
Their decision not to pursue payback against Victor is also wise, though Kyle doesn’t seem to be on board.
Kyle Abbott Pulled Toward The Same Trap

Victor’s game is to goad Jack into a fight and then exact as much emotional energy as possible. Grinding each other down has gotten both men nowhere.
Kyle hasn’t experienced nearly as much as his father has, so it’s understandable that his first inclination is to convince himself that Victor can be beaten.
Mealor’s character has no current love, which makes Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) an intriguing option.
Victoria is available to become the chess piece Kyle moves to antagonize Victor, in a presumed romantic play. That’s a risky strategy but one that could work in the short-term.
