The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers show that Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) had been on the verge of cracking for days now.
She’s now been debating whether or not to tell her husband, John ‘Finn’ Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) the truth about her having an affair with Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor), but something in us wonders how long this could truly go on for?
Will Steffy Go Along With It?
Imagine that Steffy and Carter don’t tell anyone. Steffy has the baby, Carter and Daphne Rose (Murielle Hilaire) take it home and now, Steffy becomes ‘aunt’ Steffy.
This is not far off from happening. If Steffy can keep the secret like Carter wants her too, it’s very plausible that this could literally go on for years.
You know those storylines that seem to drag on forever, until the point you kind of forget about it, then boom, twenty years later it comes back up? And you go, “oh yeah… that was weird.” Imagine in twenty years, Steffy or Finn are on their death beds or trying to make amends and the truth comes out then. It would be devastating, though, I think less impactful.
What Would Make It Sting
The longer Steffy waits right now, in the immediate future makes it worse. Yes, but we’re talking weeks… Maybe a month.
But if this secret goes on for a year, two, or longer, it could kind of take the bite out of the story.
After Carter and Daphne take the baby home, start raising it for a few years, by the time the truth comes out, what would that even look like? We imagine it might feel a bit dull, to be honest.
We want the drama and excitement now, not in a few years. Though, with every passing day it feels like Steffy gets closer and closer to just following along with Carter’s plan, no matter how terrible it might be.
Either way, Steffy needs to make up her mind. Carter already has.
