The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) couldn’t keep her troubling news to herself. Just as she was right to share the potential return of cancer with her cousin and brother, it was also best that she told Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) the truth.
Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) was a logical first person for Lily to confide in. He’s family and a doctor who is hopefully performing surgery again soon. Devon Winters (Bryton James) widened the circle and offered expected compassion.
Lily took what Nate and Devon said to heart. They’ve recognized that she never stopped loving Cane and know that he played a major role in Lily’s first successful ovarian cancer battle.
Cane Ashby Is Part Of Lily Winters’ Family
Yes, Cane and Lily are twice divorced, and they’ve been through a hard break that would have led other people to never reconcile.
But as the audience is seeing, this most recent comeback serves to reinforce that they are the love of each other’s lives. Lily was understandably hesitant to reveal what might be wrong when she went to Chicago, Illinois, to have tests.
Upon her return, Lily received potentially devastating news. Her results were inconclusive, but longtime fans must be wondering if she’s on the precipice of a second cancer battle. Why else write the storyline in this direction and link her revival with Cane to it?
Nate Hastings Performs Surgery On His Cousin?
Nate was encouraged by his new significant other, Dr. Stephanie Simmons (Vivica A. Fox), to have surgery on his damaged hand. Devoted fans know that Nate suffered a believed career-ending injury when Devon sucker-punched him at the Top of the Tower.
That charged confrontation happened because Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) cheated on Devon with Nate. The cousins have long since repaired their relationship.
An added twist to Nate’s hopeful tale would be to have him perform surgery on Lily, assuming she is diagnosed with a return of cancer in some form. However, Nate would seem to be months away from being able to return to his surgical vocation, yet magic often happens in daytime.
Nick Newman Isn’t Under Control
Nick has offered minimal comments about what he did to the drug dealer who sold him drugs and most recently sold the same to Marie Kirkland (Jade Harlow). Of course, Marie overdosed for what was the second known time and remains unconscious in the hospital.
Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) has repeatedly told Nick that he supports him, which indicates the level of concern for his son. Yet, buzz indicates that Nick’s legal troubles are far from over.
Hopefully, Joe won’t be able to make charges stick against Nick. But the return of a dazed Matt Clarke (Roger Howarth) is also ominous because he is Nick’s least favorite person in Genoa City, Wisconsin.
There’s no telling what might happen if Nick believes Matt is after Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) or anyone in the Newman family.
